Overview

Summary:  Responsible for managing chapter marketing and communications activities as assigned within the Chapter’s chartered area.       

 

                             Reports to:  Executive Director or assigned staff

Supervises:  NA

THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WORKING ABOUT 20 HOURS PER WEEK.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of strategy and execution for Chapter’s local social media efforts, which supports and communicates the LLS mission and campaign priorities
  • In conjunction with campaign staff, develop a communications plan to support chapter fundraising campaigns, to include: press releases, media alerts and electronic newsletters
  • Update and manage all local Chapter websites
  • Support campaigns/departments at chapter with copy writing assistance as needed
  • Responsible for creation and execution of Quarterly Chapter Newsletter
  • Ensure that marketing programs and materials are consistent with the brand identity of the Society
  • Assists, as assigned, in the development and implementation of other chapter activities.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

 Position Requirements: 

  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite and database management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborate with Mission Team ensuring success of patient access, education, public policy & advocacy and research
  • Excellent MS Office Suite and database management skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of digital, social media & emerging online channels
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Professional and solid judgment.

 

Education & Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related
  • 2 years related marketing experience in the areas of social media, promotions and digital marketing.
