Summary: Manages CTSC operations and provides guidance to nurses and support staff in the Clinical Trial Support Center; helps to ensure continues learning and development of CTSC staff. Works with patients, family members and/or health care providers to assist patients in their efforts to identify skills to determine qualification for particular trials. Educates patients about their diagnosis, and the risks and benefits of both standard of care and clinical trial treatment options. Supports patients and family through decisions around treatment options, including decisions to end treatment. Collaborates with the Information Resource Center to ensure a smooth referral process to the CTSC and to provide education, services and support to patients and family members. Serves as a primary resource to the Information Resource Center (IRC) for guidance around all aspects of clinical trials.
