    In partnership with HR and LLS Chapter/National Office leadership, the Head of Talent Acquisition will define, implement and sustain the talent recruitment and acquisition strategy, processes, team, tools and practices to build the most talented work force in the non-profit arena. 


    In particular, the Head of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for developing and implementing Talent Acquisition solutions to address LLS’s aggressive growth needs:

    • Talent Pipelining approaches and partners (i.e., Executive Recruiters, Websites, other) aligned to LLS constituent needs (i.e., temporary, professional, volunteers)
    • Partner with HRBP’s and key line leaders in implementing practices and metrics to ensure optimal staffing productivity and quality of hiring
    • Diversity & Inclusion Program
    • Employer Branding Initiatives
    • New and improved Employee Referral Program
    • Provide expertise and assistance to HRBP’s in delivering a new Career Development Program across LLS


    Reports to:    Senior Director, Field Human Resources

    Supervises: 3 Recruiters directly, 1 Recruiter indirectly (Home Office Recruiter), and one Recruiting Coordinator


    Duties and Responsibilities:  

    •  Builds the recruiting team required to enable LLS’s talent acquisition strategy.
    • Leads new LLS Diversity & Inclusion strategy development and implementation.
    • Leads recruitment operations to meet the workforce plan and executes projects aligned with organizational strategy.
    • Identifies and implements technology (ATS, CRM etc.) process enhancement, programs, and vendor relations required to enable a sustainable talent acquisition capability.
    • Partners across HR and with business leadership to enable recruiting programs to efficiently deliver “best in class” results that align with LLS’s business model.
    • Collaborates with leadership to set pipeline strategy and enhances operational processes to enable strategic workforce planning.
    • Creates strategies that leverage internal and external partnerships to increase candidate pipelines and strengthen employer brand experience.
    • Endures recruiting metrics are succeeded.
    • Solicits and monitors internal and marketplace feedback to evaluate and measure the effectiveness of all recruiting and sourcing activities, modifying processes as needed.
    • Oversees the Contingent Workforce and Vendor Management Programs:
    • Performs needs assessment, develops policy, tracks and reports on projects and executes change plans
    • Leads, develops and supervises a team of Recruiters, Researchers and Coordinators on all day-to-day responsibilities, activities and strategies.
    • Manages 4 staff.


    Core Competencies: 

    • Prior experience managing Contingent Workforce Planning including vendor selection and vendor management.
    • Strong expertise in web-based recruiting tools and methodologies.
    • Ability to successfully adapt to a continuously growing and changing environment.
    • Demonstrated strong understanding of HR functions, products and services.
    • Diversity & Inclusion program development experience.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in team environment; strong communication and influence skills.
    • Able to handle multiple priorities with the ability to adjust to changing business conditions.
    • Proven success building and implementing quality, scalable programs.
    • Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
    • Talent Acquisition management experience with specific experience in the design and management of recruiting operations.
    • Progressively responsible roles within recruitment.
    • Referenced impact in building and integration of innovative “best” practices.
    • Proven ability to effectively partner with all levels of management.
    • Previous management experience of Talent Acquisition teams.
    • Results driven; able to operate within tight deadlines and flexible (able to adapt to changing work-flow and business demands).
    • Ability to assess, revise and streamline policies that optimize workflow process and meet cross- functional business goals.

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelors' Degree in related field required.
    • SHRM or other accredited recruitment certification preferred.
