Overview

As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization this role is responsible for driving revenue in community initiatives through consistent execution of campaign standards by leading and managing the territory campaign development team.  In partnership with the VP, Campaign Development – Community Initiatives, this role provides overall leadership for Community Initiatives through content development, coaching, training, and oversight of strategic planning and direction to field staff ensuring national campaign standards are followed and peer to peer fundraising initiatives achieve revenue goals for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission. Relentlessly pursuing cancer cures.

Responsibilities

Mission Integration

  • Partner with Education Services and Health Research department to effectively communicate the LLS overall mission, programs, resources and priorities.
  • Responsible for ensuring assigned markets deliver mission centered, high impact activities

Strategic Planning

  • Actively and thoroughly examine comprehensive revenue and leadership trends for opportunities and threats to ensure sustained year over year revenue growth and to shape overall campaign strategy
  • Lead campaign standard revenue stream strategies and develop tools with the VP of Campaign Development - Community Initiatives for turn-key field execution
  • Creates and implements operating guidelines for the territory campaign development directors; and oversees execution to ensure consistency across all territories
  • Produce forecasting and projections reports by evaluating the effectiveness of the on-going fundraising campaign(s), including fundraising efficiency (cost/expense), community engagement, campaign/event satisfaction, and overall success of the campaign.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Coach, model and train key staff on initiative best practices and strategies
  • Collaborate with Region and Territory leadership to evaluate staff performance and hire talented high impact revenue teams
  • Leads all campaign development training materials for X initiatives, including both virtual and in person meetings, onboarding, and continued staff development.
  • Liaison to Human Resources for staff talent recruitment and development
  • Hires, trains, and manages territory campaign director team with high performing/growth focused team members who deliver strong results and the highest customer service to the field. 

Innovation in High Impact Fundraising

  • Identify revenue expansion opportunities to grow volunteer and corporate relationships throughout LLS
  • Identify areas for breakout revenue growth

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years’ relatable experience
  • Demonstrated track record of success in Community initiatives or similar P2P fundraising campaign
  • Ability to work with a variety of leadership styles
  • Ability to think both broadly and get into the details

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Certificates

  • Travel up to 70%.
  • Required to work some evenings or weekends.
